Dreamer

Decided to play around with another of my Hostess sets today and the new In Colour Inks/Papers. This one is Happiness Always and I think it's a level 3? I can't remember right off.

The stamp along the top is one of my Jumbo wheels "It's Beautiful". I love my Jumbo Wheels! I have I think around 12 of them and find them perfect to add a bit of background to a card or a band of paper for scrapbooking. :0)

As always, looking at this card there are a few things I might change next time on another card but for now, this one works. Next time I will better space my flowers. :p

I actually was a bit too excited about the Demo sneak peak/pre-order to the SU F/W catalog and Hostess sets and ordered this one and regretted it later on. But now that I've used it, I think there are a lot of possibilities. :0)

Stamps: It's Beautiful Jumbo Wheel, Happiness Always (Lvl 3 hostess)
Inks: Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: SU Buttons, Michael's Ribbon

Serene Spring

This card has been a month in the making. Around the time I feel into my funk, I had received the "Serene Spring" lvl 2 hostess set. I love the little bunny in this set and colouring him was soo much Fun! The problem was, once I finished colouring him, I was having trouble what card layout to use. I took a browse through the SCS gallery and still was stumped. So this little guy has sat on my craft table all coloured waiting to be made in to a card. I'm not sure what happened to the bird either, as I did not use purple colours they were blues.

My original idea was to use my oval nessability but my cuttlebug is broken and I've not replaced it yet so I ended up just cutting it out to be a square.

I'm not sure I'm 100% happy with the results, but in making this one I have fallen in love with the new "In Colours" which I was not 100% sold on them when I first saw images of them from the lucky demos that got to attend the Bermuda Cruise. In person though, they are very pretty! I'm still not loving Pacific Pointe but hey, it could grow on me.

Paper: Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss
Ink: I can't remember! oops! I coloured the bunny on watercolour paper with my SU markers
Stamps: Serene Spring & Sanded Background

Weee! The new Holiday mini!

This year SU decided to combine the holiday mini and instead of just one holiday they've combined Halloween, Christmas (love the felt snowflakes and the snowflakes for your windows!), Valentines Day and of course SU's new Big Shot (a partnership they formed with Sizzixs). The Big Shot dies include quite a few that are only available through SU and are specially coordinated with the SU Stamps! I'm a bit disappointed that they did not bring the Dashing Christmas DSP back again (I've been drooling over it for many months now when I see it used in other ppl's projects) but the Ski Slope DSP almost makes up for it. :p There is also this lovely Create-a-Calendar set for 2009!

The Mini will be available Oct. 1 until Jan 18th, so lots of time to stock up on holiday papers and stamps. I was all excited to share, but I took a quick look and I see it's not under the non-demo side yet under "Our current Catalogues". So instead, when I'm able to pre-order on Sept. 1 I'll share some sneak peeks/teasers of the new Holiday stuff. :0) Unless I find out in the meantime that I'm able to share it on here. :0)

I promise I'll have a card to share today. I've been working on one for weeks (where art thou inspiration!) and I think I finally will have time to finish it off today.

New Fall/Winter Catalogue

I've not posted anything recently, I've been at a loss for inspiration and extremely tired watching two kids but I had to share that right now, in my hands (or rather on my lap) I have a copy of the new SU F/W Cattie. I pre-ordered a case and was expecting them this week but figured my free demo one would come first.

All I have to say is.. Wow! LOVE the halloween stamps, the new papers the Floral buttons (which I'd seen in the demo pre-order sneak peak) and it's soo much fun to look through it! I was getting tired of the S/S one bc I'd browsed it so many times!

My friends that wanted a copy are going to be super happy at our next craft night when I hand them out!

Oh there is something that I've noticed, a few of the stamp sets were on the "dormant" list which I thought meant on their way to being discontinued, but they have popped up in this catalogue..
